The Paris and District Chamber of Commerce held its annual ‘Funspiel’ on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Paris Curling Club. Approximately 30 people came out to this annual event for an afternoon of fun! Before the group headed out onto the ice, a delicious lunch was provided by Nancy Panasiuk of Forks of the Grand Personal Chef. Following lunch, the group moved out onto the ice surface for a couple of hours of curling. The beginners were treated to a curling lesson and the ‘pros’ competed against one another! Special thanks to the patient teachers for their excellent curling lesson. Following the curling, everyone headed back in off the ice for a beverage and snacks. We then headed back out onto the ice one more time for the ever popular ‘Turkey Shoot’. Congratulations to Paul Barber of Brant County Power for winning the turkey! Nice shot! Special thanks to Linda Stripe for organizing this annual event and for providing goody bags for all!
