Frequently Asked Questions

How big is the Chamber?
We have over 130 member businesses in Paris and Brant County, 1 part time staff, and a number of active (board) members.

How can I get the most from my membership?
The Paris chamber is relatively small, which means that it is easy to get to know other members. Come out to our monthly lunch meeting or join us for one of the monthly after five's and get to know the others.  We also host an annual "funspiel" at the Paris Curling Club as well as an annual golf tournament. We have fun together and are able to consult with one another from time to time.

Can any of my employees attend a Chamber event in my place?
Absolutely. All of your employees are welcome to attend on their own or with you. In fact, many of our members prefer to attend functions with others from their business. This is a great way for you to feel more comfortable at an event if you are new to the Chamber or the community.

When are the meetings held?
Board meetings are open to everyone and are held monthly on the first Tuesday of each month from 12noon to 1pm at the Paris Library - Meeting Room.  At times, we may meet at other locations.  Please check the website under "Events" to confirm meeting dates, times and location.

Business to Business After Five is held monthly on the third Wednesday of the month (unless otherwise specified) from 5 to 7pm at one of our members. See events listing for more details.

How do I advertise through the Chamber?
Advertise on the Chamber website or as a member, you can advertise in our bi-monthly newsletter. Contact us for more information.

What other representation does the Chamber provide?
The Chamber is affiliated with both the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Newsletters, media releases and policy papers are available to our members through both the Provincial and National Chamber organizations.

Is my Chamber membership considered a business expense?
